Before you purchase anything, you will want to sit down and think about what color you will want in your kitchen. The color you choose will have to match everything from your flooring to your cabinets and walls. Choosing a neutral color is advisable if you can’t decide on one specific color. A neutral color will be any light color such as tans, whites, you could even use brown, green, or blue. These colors go great with just about anything.

Next, you will want to decide what you will like for flooring. Typically many people try to match their flooring with the color of their walls and counter. Going for a wood or fake wood is essential as many things will match wood.

Countertops

Choosing countertops can be overwhelming just because there are so many different designs to choose from. You will more than likely find the color you are looking for. However, deciding on which style you want to go for within that specific color range is what you will need time to think on.

Everyone loves a lot of cabinet space. You will need to take into consideration how big your kitchen is. If you have a small kitchen, you may need to think of alternatives for storage as you don’t want your kitchen to look cluttered. You can save yourself some room for thinking of creative things to do in your kitchen such as a open shelf above your oven for your spices, meaning less cupboard space for those. Adding a shelf above your fridge may be good for things like a coffee maker, crockpot, etc. There are so many alternatives available if you simply do not have the room.

When you decide on a color for your kitchen, you will then want to consider decorating. You will want the colors to all blend in together. For example, if your kitchen was wooden floors with light or dark countertops, you could have a brown or tan rug. Brown or tan placemats would also fit perfectly with the décor.
