Kitchen remodeling can be costly for many homeowners and renters. Renters may find that they can get a rent decrease by doing certain remodeling projects around the rental property. Countertop paints can cost less than $20 for an entire kitchen and matching cabinets paint can cost as little as an additional $30.

Sometimes painting the cabinets and countertops does not offer enough of a remodeling makeover. In these cases simply changing out the decorations, canisters, and other decorative kitchen items can be upgrade and change the look of a kitchen easily. For individuals on a very tight budget the idea of repurposing an item or recycling an item is something to consider. For example, there are several concept ideas that utilize old Mason jars as kitchen canisters. Combined with small segments of latticework and the proper paint a kitchen can be transformed into a rustic kitchen look for less than $75.

Removable Decor

 

Removable decor may bring to mind the decorative items previously discussed. However, many companies have started to come out with a removable decor options for individuals who rent their home. These removable decor options are in the form of magnets for dishwashers, ovens and appliances. They may also be removable decals for painting designs. Decorative dishwasher magnet covers, appliance covers and removable vinyl decor decals can help to change and look of a room, especially a kitchen for less than $50.

Though each one of the options given cost less than $100, individuals who want to utilize all of these options can combine them and with proper budgeting can spend $100 or only slightly over for every option listed.
